Genius 35: Scared to Death! District Finals - The fourth match of the District Finals is starting between Ryoma and Shinji. It's Ryoma's service play and he starts off the set with his special serve, the Twist Serve. Shinji notices the spin on the ball and it kicks up pass Shinji's face (15-0). Everyone except for the Seigaku members were surprised by the Twist Serve and Ryoma asks the referee if he was going to call score or not. The Seigaku regulars are starting to notice that Ryoma is stronger than he seems, starting off with the Twist Serve to put the game in his favor. Ryoma uses the Twist Serve yet again and Fudomine is amazed that a 1st year is able to hit a perfect Twist Serve (30-0). He scores another service ace with his Twist Serve to earn another point (40-0). Tachibana notices that Ryoma's Twist Serve is strong but he knows that it shouldn't be a problem for Shinji. Ryoma uses another Twist Serve against Shinji but Shinji runs up towards the ball and returns it easily with a backhand. Ryoma charges up towards the net and scores the point (Seigaku-1, Fudomine-0).
