Ryoma starts his service play with a Twist Serve.  Shinjou returns with a Mirage, and Ryoma’s return goes out (0-15).  Ryoma does another Twist Serve and counters Shinjou’s returns with Twist balls until he hits the net.  Ryoma continues to use the Twist Serve.  He returns a shot with Super Rising and quickly catches up to win the game (3-3).  He uses the Twist Serve and twist balls to throw off Shinjou’s form nullifying his Mirage.

Shinjou starts his service play with a different form.  The power of it grazes Ryoma’s face and knocks him over.   Shinjou’s new move is revealed to be Deep Impulse.  Ryoma has to stop mid game to replace his broken racquet (the gut is broken).  The game resumes with Shinjou using another Deep Impulse, which grazes Ryoma’s cheek again and knocks him over (30-0).  Shinjou serve a normal serve, but returns Ryoma’s return with a Deep Impulse.    The two rally until another Deep Impulse grazes Ryoma’s other cheek and knocks him over again.  Shinjou serves and the two rally again until Shinjou wins the game (4-3 Jyousei).  Ryoma serves and the two hits shots back and forth until Shinjou does another Deep Impulse grazing Ryoma’s chin and knocking him over yet again (0-30).  Ryoma serves and continues to run the net after serving.  The two continue rallying until Shinjou does another Deep Impulse.  Ryoma keeps approaching the net full speed and it looks like the bal will hit him, but he returns it back, knocking the racquet out of Shinjou’s hands (15-15).  Ryoma continues using the serve and volley technique, but uses a Stutter Step when closing in on the net.  It allows him to counter Deep Impulse before it accelerates and lets him handle the power of the ball more easily.  Ryoma wins Shinjou’s service (4-4).  Shinjou continues using his Deep Impulse as his serve.   During the first point, Shinjou realizes his balance is off and throws the game away (5-4 Seigaku).

The game progresses and the two continue to rally with the two tied at deuce when Shinjou starts using Mirage again.  Shinjou serves using Deep Impulse.  Ryoma returns the ball, but Shinjou counters with Mirage.  Both continue to return each other’s shots with Ryoma doing a Stuttered Step.  When Ryoma returns one shot, he returns the ball using Shinjou’s power and it grazes his check knocking him over (Advantage Ryoma).  During the rally, Ryoma was perfecting his timing and form to Deep Impulse.  Ryoma serves with a Twist Serve and the two have another endurance rally when Shinjou ties the game again at deuce with a smash.  The two rally with Shinjou using Mirage as his return shots until he feints a Deep Impulse.  Shinjou feints another Deep Impulse (Advantage Shinjou).  Another endurance rally starts with Shinjou faking another Deep Impulse with Ryoma returning with a lob.  Both continue to rally until Ryoma scores another point by accelerating his shot putting the game at deuce again.  The two rally again until Ryoma breaks through (Advantage Ryoma).  He serves a Twist Serve.  Both return when Shinjou does another Deep Impulse that Ryoma returns.  The two rally with Shinjou trying to finish with another Deep Impulse.  Ryoma still comes out and wins (6-4).  Winner:  Seigaku
